30 Post-doc Fellowships available at the Universities of the Académie Louvain

Incoming post-doctoral fellowships of the Académie universitaire Louvain (AUL) are offered to scientists from all nationalities in order to strengthen the bilateral S&T collaborations as well as the realisation of the European Research Area.

They are assigned to researchers with a PhD degree (or equivalent), proving their expertise and research capacity by a personal scientific record.

The researchers must not have spent more than 24 months out of the last 3 years in Belgium.

The Fellowships, granted for a stay of 12 to 24 months in one of the Académie universitaire Louvain research unit, concern all fields of research activities dealt with by the AUL.

The amount includes a monthly allowance, social security coverage, insurance expenses and an annual bench fee of 2.500 to 5000 eur for the person concerned.

1 Yr. Master in Economics Scholarship 2010 at MOI University

Introduction : One scholarship is available through MU/VLIR-UOS-Gender Equity Project which is administered through IGERD. This is a ONE YEAR FULL TIME scholarship at a Flemish University in Belgium starting in September 2011.

Eligibility : IGERD is searching for a female candidate interested in undertaking MA program in ECONOMICS. Applicant MUST have MA in Economics and therefore interested in enriching oneself with a second masters. This is a capacity building initiative and therefore staff members at Moi University are encouraged to apply.

Application Procedure: Interested candidates should:
i. Submit a TWO PAGE document highlighting their areas of interest and why they want to pursue a second Masters in ECONOMICS. The proposal should be typed and double spaced, Font 12, Times New Roman.

ii. Include ALL relevant academic transcripts, full contact details e.g. Cell-phone number, email, and one (1) colored passport size photos.

iii. Proposals submitted to IGERD should be forwarded through your Head of Department or equivalent.

a) All documents must be submitted to the Director IGERD by 30th September 2010
b) Only successful candidates will be contacted thereafter.
