PhD in telecommunications systems with a focus on user-perceived service quality in the future Internet based at the School of Computing in Karlskrona.
General information on doctoral position.
The position is based at the School of Computing and Communications, focusing on quantitative and qualitative studies of future Internet, as required by the majority of existing and pending projects. Special needs is to measure and analyze user-perceived service quality as close to the user as possible, in all possible types of terminals, and primarily with the Android-based mobile devices. In this context, particular focus on:
* Measurement and modeling of user-perceived quality of service, application and network performance, especially on mobile devices such as Android-based terminals.
* Development of methods for analyzing the relationship between quantitative measures of performance and user-perceived service quality.
Jurisdiction
For a PhD position requires that the applicant will be admitted to postgraduate studies.
Qualifications
MSc / Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science with a focus on information and communication technologies (telecommunication systems and / or network) or other relevant discipline for the position.
Special weight is high technical competence in developing software for mobile devices, scientific publications, and other work experience in employment orientation. Other meritorious features are proficient in English, good interpersonal skills, and experience of project work at the international level.
Salary:
For PhD students are given a standard salary scale, which means that the salary as the student progresses through the program.
