The University is pleased to offer a range of scholarships to students from Malaysia who show exceptional academic potential and are starting their studies at the University of Sheffield in September 2010.

Malaysia Merit Undergraduate Scholarships 2010 (£6,500)

There are two Malaysia Merit Undergraduate Scholarships available for Malaysian students starting their undergraduate degree studies in September 2010.

Each scholarship is worth £6,500 of your undergraduate course tuition fee per year.

To be eligible for the Malaysia Merit Undergraduate Scholarships 2010 (£6,500), applicants must be a Malaysian national or permanently domiciled in Malaysia, apply for a study place by 23 April 2010 and hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2010.

The Malaysia Merit Undergraduate Scholarships 2010 (£6,500) are awarded on the basis of academic merit.

If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply. Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply from January 2010 onwards.

Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.
Postgraduate Scholarships eg MA, MSc

The University offers a range of scholarships for Malaysian students who show exceptional academic potential starting a postgraduate taught masters programme at the University of Sheffield in September 2010.

Malaysia Sheffield Scholarships 2010

We are pleased to offer the Malaysia Sheffield Scholarship 2010 to all Malaysian students starting a Taught Masters programme in September 2010.

The scholarships are:

* £1,500 each for students paying fees between £10,940 – £12,100
* £2,000 each for students paying fees of £12,101 and upwards

Eligibility and award criteria:

* You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your postgraduate Taught Masters programme in September 2010.
* You must be a Malaysian national or permanently domiciled in Malaysia.
* You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for fee purposes.
* The scholarships will be awarded automatically - no application is required.
* The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.

Malaysia Merit Postgraduate Scholarship 2010

There is one Malaysia Merit Postgraduate Scholarship 2010, available for a Malaysian student starting their postgraduate taught masters degree studies in September 2010.

The scholarship is worth £6,500 of your postgraduate taught masters degree tuition fee for one year of study.

To be eligible for the Malaysia Merit Postgraduate Scholarship 2010, applicants must be a Malaysian national or permanently domiciled in Malaysia, apply for a study place by 25 June 2010 and hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2010.

The Malaysia Merit Postgraduate Scholarship 2010 is awarded on the basis of academic merit.

If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply. Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply from January 2010 onwards.

Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.

The University of Sheffield does not offer research studentships or funding specifically for Malaysian students. There are, however, studentships and funding for which students from Malaysia can apply:
