The Chinese University of Hong Kong is the Member School of Partnership in International Management (PIM) enabling students with more exchange opportunities in an extensive network of PIM schools. The Chinese University MBA as part of CUK was founded in 1966. CUMBA is one of the two businesses in region which has been accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International in 1999. See campus map for detail location.
Full-time MBA
The MBA new curriculum consist if core and elective modules. In academic calendar, This School divides term in three terms and summer term.
The length of course is 12 months and to graduate, students have to complete 54 units. Students may choose to take a concentration in one of three areas; they are China Business, Finance, and Marketing. The concentration area is reported on the transcript of students.
Part-time MBA
Evening Mode
To graduate, students have to complete 48 units in the curriculum which consist of core and elective modules. You need 24 months to complete the course. Students may choose to take a concentration in one of three areas; they are China Business, Finance and Marketing.
Students meet just one a week at the MBA Town Centre (Unit B, 1/F, Bank of America Tower, 12 Harcourt Road, Central), from 6:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. in selection.
Weekend Mode
Students meet on the CUHK campus from 9:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. every Saturday for two courses in each trimester. One course is conducted from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the other course takes place from 2:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Other course structures are the same with evening mode of part-time MBA in The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Dual Degree
Students can choose the degree program will be begun and can choose where the program will be ended. Degrees are only awarded upon successful completion of requirements and financial obligations established by both institutions.
Joint Degree
It means that students run two degree in the same time either same institution or not, completing them in less time than it would take to earn them separately.
Students
For full-time students 29 years is average age and 30 years is average age in part-time MBA.
Admission Requirements
* shall hold a degree of this University or another qualification of equivalent standard from this University or from another university or comparable institution accepted for this purpose;
* shall have attained a satisfactory level of performance in the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT Minimum 590 score), GRK or equivalent; and
* Shall be a manager who can provide evidence of successful business experience of at least three years.
* Obtain a TOEFL score of 550 or above in the paper-based test, or 213 or above in the computer-based test.
Scholarship
The Chinese University in Hong Kong offers such scholarship that supported by the generous individuals, companies, organizations, and alumni. To entrance scholarship, international and home students are the same opportunity to get scholarship. There is also scholarship for Japanese to study in Hong Kong.
