Scholarship Introduction:
Up to four Honours scholarships are being offered annually as part of the Strategic Investment in Criminology.
The Area Strategic Investment Honours Scholarship is available to highly motivated students who have recently completed their undergraduate degree in Criminology, Psychology or Sociology and have an interest in pursuing a research career in Criminology.
Students will need to be enrolled in or eligible for admission into an eligible Honours program for 2010.
Students will be expected to meet the enrolment requirements for Honours in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice and have identified a principal supervisor from within the School.
Each scholarship is valued at $6000, cash payment to be made in two instalments of $3000 each semester.
Scholarship Eligibility:
To be eligible for the Area Strategic Investment Honours Scholarship a candidate must:
* have recently completed an undergraduate degree in Criminology, Psychology or Sociology
* be enrolled in or eligible for admission (in 2010) into either:
* the Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice with Honours; or
* the Masters of Criminology and Criminal Justice with Honours
* be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status
* submit in writing an outline of their Honours project, maximum 250 words.
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of Grade Point Average (GPA).
